Referee Training

Referees are a vital part of the game!  They help to ensure that the game is Fun, Fair, and Safe for all.  The game can not start or be played without you.  Besides training, here in Prescott (Region 172) we provide our Referees equipment, lunches, water and drinks during Saturday games, and support.  We offer help in answering questions and clarification on calls.  All referees will make mistakes during the course of a match, and after the match stop by the tent to rest, eat, grab a drink, check-in for your next match, or ask a question if you think you made a wrong call in the moment.  We are here to help!

All AYSO Referees are trained and Certified to be Referees, and have completed the following MANDATORY requirements:
Volunteer Application
Level 2 Background Check
AYSOs Safe Haven
CDC Concussion Awareness Training
Sudden Cardiac Arrest
SafeSport

as well as the Region Referee Certification.  We can also offer advancement to our referees if they are looking promote their Badge Level to Intermediate, Advance, or National Referee.
